1 Peter 2:9
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
What does this verse means? Royal means Kings, Priesthood simply means priest. Which means we are Kings and Priest. What power do Kings and Priest have? Lets look at the following verse below...
Ecclesiastes 8:4
Where the word of a king is, there is power; And who may say to him, “What are you doing?”
Whenever a King say something, there is always power.
Deuteronomy 21:5
Then the priests, the sons of Levi, shall come near, for the LORD your God has chosen them to minister to Him and to bless in the name of the LORD; by their word every controversy and every assault shall be settled.
By the word of priests, all contorversy and every assault will be settled.
From 1 Peter 2:9 shows that we are the chosen generation, we hold the power of Kings and Priests. For that, we have double portion of speaking power. Our words bring power, and by our words, every controversy and every assault will be settled. That is how much God love us..
