Ok... Went to Festival of Praise Yesterday!
It was great! Enjoyed it alot. Praise really bring up my mood! Pastor Mike Conner preach a very good message! He is a very humorous guy, could not stop laughing during his sermon. The title of his Sermon is "Growing Old or Growing Up"
Growing Old or Growing UP
In the progress of growing older, we have to make that we grow up too. 1 Corinthians 13:11 says, When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. Which means we have to be mature in our thinking as we grow older.
What is Maturity?
Maturity does not come with age, but the acceptance of responsibility
What do we have Responsibility for?
Things that are within our control we will have responsibility over, things that are not within our control we have no responsibility for.
Example: You have are responsible for your own completion of homework, but you are not responsible for the completion of your friends homework.
The only thing we have responsibility for is only ourselves and not others. To be responsibility for ourselves and our life, there are certain things we have to have leadership over.
Leadership Over Your Mind
In the Mind there are thoughts which we can't control them from coming into our mind. There are positive and negative thoughts. Our life is shape by our thoughts that is in our mind. Therefore it is important that we take out those negative thoughts so that we will not be affected by them, chose not to listen to the negative thoughts and you will have a healthy mind! Once your mind is taken control of, you take control of your life!
Leadership over Your Will and Decision
Will is a beautiful thing given to us by God. However if we are not careful, the decision we make can destroy us. Therefore we must have wisdom and make the right decision in our life! If there are decision need to be made now, go do it! Who you are today is not because of your conditions but the decision you make!
Leadership over Your Emotions
It is important that we are not rule over by our emotions. Think positive and not negative stuff. Keep away bad memories! Do not play those bad memories in Surround Sound and High Definition Quality. And don't press the repeat button! Joy is a result of Choice!
Leadership over your Physical Body
Do not harm your body with drugs, smoking or sexual activities. Keep it healthy. Eat the right amount of nutrients your body need.
